Weduu emerges from the merger of two technology companies, each with different histories and characteristics - one established in the 90s, the other less than 5 years old, with employees averaging 50 and 25 years in age, respectively. The diversity of cultures was our starting point for envisioning a dynamic and contemporary space, particularly one that is welcoming and fosters interaction and sharing. Our goal was for people to connect and, through the appropriation of spaces, freely develop ideas in a 1000m² corporate floor in São Paulo.
We designed the space around a plaza—a gathering and sharing place that provides access to all other areas. The plaza replaces the traditional reception. Instead of a desk with a receptionist, we brought the heart of the project to the entrance—a vibrant core where people can gather with varying degrees of intimacy and privacy. The space features areas for seated and standing meetings, benches and armchairs in open areas, interconnected enclosed rooms, forming a large communal space with a designated area for games and gatherings.
Surrounded by greenery, plants instill a sense of belonging and ownership in people. The feeling that the plaza belongs to them. From this central space, workstations are distributed in accordance with the company's work philosophy. We left the space open, exposing the building's structure—beams, slabs, and pillars. Electrical and air conditioning installations remain visible. All areas are naturally lit. Large screens divide teams and serve for projections and as whiteboards. Concrete tones evoke the city, while impressive street art adds a strong urban and contemporary character to the project. The wood used for the construction of rooms, pine in the form of CLT (cross-laminated timber), reinforce the technological and sustainable spirit of the work.
