About the project
These spaces, originally serving as basements facing Teodoro Sampaio Street, now stand level with a semi-public square on Virgílio de Carvalho Pinto Street, creating a distinctive urban feature in São Paulo's landscape. Both structures had lost their original identity. Our task was to merge the two floors of each building, connecting and creating expansive, interconnected spaces, allowing for high capacity and adaptability, with flexibility as it´s main characteristic.
A complete property adaptation was imperative, addressing the demands for climate control and air quality enhancement while prioritizing environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
The innovative and creative characteristics of those who work there inspired and motivated us to think about 20th-century architecture, specifically the Bauhaus movement. Embracing Bauhaus's emphasis on simplicity, aesthetic harmony, and technical precision, we embarked on a design journey that culminated in a project finely tuned to the entrepreneurs' vision.

Initially, we stripped the buildings down to their bare concrete structures, laying bare their essence. Subsequently, we introduced visible electrical, plumbing, and cooling systems, seamlessly integrated within the space. Finally, we furnished the interiors with partitions, panels, and bespoke furniture pieces. Numerous challenges arose, particularly the need for cuts and closures in the existing slabs to accommodate new stairs and access points, as well as the seamless integration of the two buildings.
