About the project
Since it refers to a Syndicate related to the artistic community in the city of São Paulo, we opted to emphasize the colors and materials associated with the city and the stories of struggle that caracterize the life of each Sindicate. Concrete, wood and red are in evidence and rule de environment.
We sought to expose the building´s structure and both new and old facilities, emphasizing the industrial features of the project, providing spaces with comfortable ceiling heights, and offering transparency between the spaces.
Red artworks by Arcângelo e Rubens Vaz Ianeli, father and son, bring history and art into the project, creating a stronger connection between the space and its visitors and users.
The zoning is straightforward and simple, organized around a circulation path, drawn by the exchange of materials. Large curved rugs define living room and meeting spaces, providing both aesthetic and acoustic comfort. The blend of materials is accentuated by the black backdrop, visually absent but extremely present as an acoustic element.
